Jack Vick, MD
Medical Director
A native of Fort Sumner, Dr. Vick is truely a homegrown Provider. He served as Medical Director for the De Baca County Hospital in his early years of practice and returned to that role for the Clinic in 2009 after working for multi-physician practice in Albuquerque for several years. Aong with his medical expertise, Dr. Vick understands the community and it's healthcare challenges. A devoted father and grandfather, Dr. Vick strives to influence a healthier lifestyle for his patients and the community at large.
Laney Pierce,
Family Nurse Practitioner
Laney Pierce first joined our Clinical Team as a student in 2013, completing her clinical work at De Baca Family Practice before graduation. She worked alongside longtime Nurse Practitioner, Kay Caraway, prior to Kay's retirement in August 2014, meeting and getting to know her patients. Laney graduated from Texas Tech in May, 2014 and joined our Clinical Team in September. We are very excited to welcome Laney to the De Baca family.
Kristen Jeffcoat-Knauer
Pediatric Nurse Pracitioner
Kristen Jeffcoat-Knauer began her Pediatric Practitioner career with De Baca Family Practice in 2013, following her graduation from Texas Tech University. Like Laney, Kristen completed her clinical work with us, providing our first ever Pediatric specialty care service. Kristen sees infants through youth, up to 19 years of age at our School Based Health Center three days per week (Tues-Thurs) and at the Main Clinic in Fort Sumner on Mondays. Kristen leads the School Based Health Center team and has made a significant impact on the overall health of our children.
This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
